Tae Kwon Do, meaning "the way of the hand and foot," is a general term used to describe Korea's national sport.  We train in traditional Korean forms, hand-to-hand self-defense techniques, and Olympic style sparring.  Sport Tae Kwon Do has evolved and has a somewhat different focus, especially in terms of its emphasis on speed and competition (as in Olympic sparring), whereas traditional Tae Kwon Do tends to emphasize power and self-defense.

ATC emphasizes balancing the lifelong necessity for healthful physical fitness with personal discipline and maturity, which makes Tae Kwon Do a martial art and not just “unarmed conflict training”.

We offer complete fitness programs for kids, teens, and adults that benefit your:

  • Body – strength and flexibility make it possible to deliver strong, precise blows.
  • Mind – one must know when to use his training, and when not to.
  • Spirit – the foundation upon which the mind and body must be built for the person to be whole.
